GPR Stabilizers Loren Black has gained his pro license from WSMC in Southern California.
Loren's road racing career started just over six months ago. Here is a re-cap from the weekend.
Hot weekend, 109 F.
First race was the 600 modified production. Got a great jump from the 3rd row, slipped into 2nd place into the 1st corner. overtook first place in the 2nd corner, but then was over took again by the end of the first lap, held 2nd for the next lap until I was over took from Chris Duran, Held 3 for the rest of the race, un-eventfull.
Next race was the 650 super bike, Got a decent start from the 3rd row, and headed into the first corner in 7th, Quickly made my way up to 6th by the end of the first lap. Then for the next 3 laps i got hung up by 2 riders and kept looking for a way by, finally got a good drive going out of turn 9 into the front strait, we were drafting 3 deep going down the front strait, as the guy in front of me, broke out of the draft and I followed right behind him as he tried to out brake 4th place, I out broke both of them going into T1. No body showed a wheel on me until the last lap going out of turn 8 into turn 9, somebody came right up the inside of me, but ran it wide in T9, I took him right back up the inside and got to the checkers in 4th, behind Toye, Wiwi, Myers.
Last race was the 600 Super Sport: Got a decent start form the 4th row heading into the first turn around 7-8th. Quickly made my way into 5th by the end of the 1st lap, held that position for 3-4 laps, but then was over took from Elana Myers and finished up the race in 6th.
Next race-8-16-9 at Willow Springs.
