Saturday’s Race:
It was nice to finish the WORCS season off with a local race. I’ve had a lot on my plate lately, but was really looking forward to this race! When the gate dropped I had a good jump and was in third after the first corner. The course was pretty rough, and you had to really pick good lines! I lost one spot early to Taylor, who was on a mission! I ran in the top 5 for over the first half of the race, and considering that my arm pump wasn’t letting me use my front brakes or clutch as much as I would’ve liked I was pretty happy. With a couple laps to go Caselli got by me. Then right at the end Bell put in a great last lap charge, but I was able to hold him off for 6th.
Sunday’s Race:
The course was a lot better today! There were some awesome ruts and the dirt was really good. Once again I had another great jump, and actually got the hole-shot! I was pumped and tried to do my best to stay there as long as I could, but Garrison made a great pass early. Then both Brown and Taylor went by on the first lap. I was really trying to relax so I didn’t get arm-pump as bad today. It definitely slowed me down early, but I think it helped keep me loose and I ended up not losing as much time. I think I ran in 4th for a lot of the race, but both Caselli and Soule got by as the race went on. These guys are all going so fast that you just can’t relax for a second otherwise you get passed! I was able to once again pull off another 6th when the checkered flag came out.
Overall Summary:
I really wanted to end the WORCS season with a top 5, but felt I rode really well to pull off a 6th. I’m happy with that and had a blast this weekend! It’s a great feeling to be able to race here in AZ and have a lot of people cheering me on!

Other Notes:
This race ended my full time career doing the WORCS series! It’s kind of weird to think I’ve been doing this since the series started. I’ll definitely be back to do a couple rounds next year though! I have a busy 2012 season planned and I’m really looking forward to trying some new races again!
Even though I wasn’t able to get any points at Glen Helen (crashed) I was still able to finish the series in 7th. I actually tied with my buddy Gary Sutherlin!
My son Cooper raced the 250F C class, and besides a few crashes he still was able to pull off a 6th in class. James from Thor even hooked him up with a new set of Thor gear, which he was super excited about! Thanks JZ!
This week I got the new Moto3 movie! They have some awesome stuff in there and it’s definitely a video worth picking up!!! It’s available on itunes November 15th.
My next race is in a little over a week for the final Endurocross round in Vegas!
I attached some photos from Mark Kariya!
